Tanishq, India’s
largest and most preferred jewellery brand today announced the launch of the
second chapter ‘My Expression’. After the grand success last year, My
Expression 2 is back to give shape to more inspirations and ideas in the form
of Mia collection. Call for entries are open from 1st October to 30th November, 2013. With
the aim to encourage women to source inspiration from the smallest thing and
turn it into a beautiful pieces of jewellery, ‘My Expression 2’ will identify
and reward the best creative minds across the country.
In
this chapter, participants simply need to upload designs or inspirations which
define their work wear style in any form. The top 10 finalists will stand a
chance to win INR 1,00,000 each. The winning ideas will be incorporated in the
next collection of Mia.
To participate, users will need to register by visiting the
websitehttp://mia.tanishq.co.in/ myexpression/, then login and
submit their ideas. After logging in, users can either design their jewellery
with a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) tool or enter text or upload a picture or
upload/paste the youtube link of their idea explaining their concept in detail.
Points will be awarded on the creativity, originality and newness of the idea
along with the idea being a fit to the brand - Mia and the ease of
manufacturability. The deadline to submit idea is on 10th November, 2013.
A 3-member jury comprising eminent personalities will evaluate
the designs and ideas to shortlist top 10 winners. Members include Revathi
Kant, GM – Design, Innovation and Development, Tanishq, Shimul Mehta Vyas,
Mentor, Textile Apparel and Accessory Design, National Institute of Design
(NID) and Nisha Jhagiani, Fashion Editor, VERVE.
Post of submission of the entries, the top 100 ideas will be
collected, out of which the top 20 ideas will be shortlisted through an online
public voting system. These 20 favorite ideas will make it to the Jury
Selection round – where the jury will have an one-on-one interview session with
the participants. The 10 best ideas selected by the esteemed jury will win cash
prize of INR 1,00,000 each along with these designs being incorporated in the
next Mia collection.
Announcing the launch, Mr. Sandeep Kulhalli, Vice President,
Retail and Marketing, Tanishq, said, “It gives me immense pleasure to announce
the second chapter of our unique My Expression initiative. My Expression
journey has been a great platform for consumer engagement as well as a way to
understand what our consumers are actually looking for in their everyday wear
jewellery.” He further added, “This contest will also help us find, nurture and
create creative, intelligent and young designers with great tastes in jewellery
creation. After the grand success of the first chapter of this activity, we
look forward to active participation from our fans this year.”
