‘The Terry Fox Run’ for Cancer Research

WALK FOR A CAUSE - THE MARATHON OF HOPE


The Canadian International School Bangalore will be holding “The Terry Fox Run” at its campus at 9 am on Saturday, 23rd November 2013. The Terry Fox Run is an annual non-competitive charity event held in numerous regions around the world in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research. Renowned athlete Ashwini Nachappa will be the chief guest for the run.





This event is open for all students and teachers from schools across Bangalore, as well as guests and others to raise money for Cancer research in Terry’s name.

"CIS has always believed in contributing to the society. The Terry Fox Run is one such cause which we want to be associated with to highlight the need to join forces to fight cancer. It is a day of celebrating Terry’s legacy and helping to keep alive his dream of finding a cure for cancer.” said Ms. Shweta Sastri, Executive Director – Canadian International School, Bangalore.
